Day 13 - Bude to St. Agnes

After being extremely well fed at our excellent B&B we set of for the coastal route and Boscastle. Saw James Scott's new bridge and climbed the substantial hill out of the village.

Brian went ahead on the climb and accidentally took the road to Tintagel, more climbing, doh!!

The very picturesque coastal route took us to Rock where we caught the passenger ferry to the very busy Padstow. Brian went to be interviewed live on Radio Devon, Phil and I found a Pub showing the Lions v Springboks. Close game, the best team came 2nd.

Yet another climb out of Padstow set the tone for the next 25 miles, no flat roads at all and really steep climbs. Good views though!

Eventually arrived at our B&B in St. Agnes with the customary uphill finish. This was rather like staying with the Adams Family! Our 'Chalets' turned out to be a collection of sheds and small musty caravans in the garden. Lucky Phil slept next to the Chicken Coup! Laughed ourselves silly. Very sweet elderly host, greeted us with "You know you are sleeping in the garden, don't you".

Excellent.
